Akron 5, Bowie 2: The Baysox (32-35) scored twice in the first inning but allowed home runs by Jonathan Van Every and Franklin Gutierrez as they faltered on the road against the Aeros (40-26).
Orioles center fielder Luis Matos, who is on rehabilitation assignment with the Baysox, went 1-for-4 with a single and a run scored.
Single-A Carolina League
Frederick 3, Potomac 2: Branden Florence homered twice to power the host Keys (34-34) over the Nationals (30-38).
Brian Finch pitched seven strong innings and struck out six, but Trevor Caughey (1-1) got the win. Marino Salas earned his sixth straight save.
Single-A South Atlantic League
Lakewood 7, Delmarva 4: Kevin Hart and Russell Petrick allowed six hits in a five-run fifth inning as the Shorebirds (30-38) lost to the visiting Blue Claws (23-45). Hagerstown 3, West Virginia 2: Carlos Gomez and Mike Carp homered to help the Suns (40-28) beat the Power (25-43).
