Pette W. Webb, 53, MTA administrative aide

Pette W. Webb, an employee of the Maryland Transportation Authority for 16 years, died of cancer Saturday at the Gilchrist Center for Hospice Care in Towson. The Hunt Valley resident was 53.

Born Pette Wire in Baltimore's Hampden community, she graduated from Western High School in 1970. She worked for a short time as a legal secretary and then became an administrative aide with the state agency.

She was assigned to various locations including the Key Bridge, said Thomas Webb, her husband of 16 years.

She was an accomplished tennis player and for the past several years taught Sunday school at Hunt Valley Presbyterian Church. She was a member of Hillendale Country Club.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. tomorrow at Hunt Valley Presbyterian Church, 13015 Beaver Dam Road.

In addition to her husband, survivors include two daughters, Jessica P. Belue of Fort Mill, S.C., and Jennifer P. Horne of Columbia, S.C.
