BREWERS: P Gary Glover has cleared waivers and accepted assignment to Triple-A Nashville.

DIAMONDBACKS: Optioned P Mike Koplove to Triple-A Tucson. Recalled P Edgar Gonzalez from Tucson.

MARINERS: Traded SS Wilson Valdez to Padres for P Mike Bumstead and P R.D. Spiehs.

NATIONALS: Activated former Orioles OF Jeffrey Hammonds off 15-day DL; optioned him to Triple-A New Orleans. Purchased contract of former Orioles minor league IF Rick Short from Triple-A New Orleans.
