Boys Player of the Year

Roger Torres, C. Milton Wright

Torres finished his high school career in style. The senior went 20-1, with his only loss coming in the state tournament.

Torres was one of the area's top players throughout his tenure with the Mustangs. He won four county/conference titles and posted a 91-5 career record.

Torres will play tennis at Longwood College (Va.).

Girls Players of the Year

Jessica Ahn, C. Milton Wright

The junior went 20-1 and advanced to the state semifinals. She lost there, but then handed Baltimore County Player of the Year Ashley Harvey from Catonsville a straight-set defeat in the consolation final, giving her third place in the state.

Last year, Ahn showed her skill as a doubles player, combining with Anita Sahu to win the state doubles title.

Coach of the Year

Peter Griffiths, C. Milton Wright

It was another perfect year for Griffiths and the Mustangs.

C. Milton Wright went 13-0 and stretched its winning streak to 78 straight as it has won five straight county titles.

Griffiths has been with the team 20 years and has developed a strong program.
