Heritage Baptist Church gives food twice weekly

Heritage Baptist Church food pantry, in partnership with Anne Arundel County Food Bank, distributes food twice weekly to clients in need.

Once a month, food is collected from the food pantry headquarters in Crownsville, brought back to the church and sorted for distribution.

In addition, the food pantry receives a $500 yearly operating budget from the church. This, combined with several food drives a year, helps to keep the pantry stocked with items to be distributed to those in need.

The Heritage Baptist food pantry distributes food from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays. At least 13 volunteers take turns handing out bags.

Donations of nonperishable food can be made at any time to the church, 1740 Forest Drive, Annapolis 21403. Information: 410-263-6680.
