Pascal Senior Center plans a variety of trips

Pascal Senior Center has announced the following trips for the year:

July 14, Dorothy-Megan paddlewheeler, two-hour trip on the Choptank River, Hurlock. Lunch at Suicide Bridge Restaurant.

Aug. 4, Bye-Bye Birdie, Three Little Bakers Dinner Theatre, Wilmington, Del.

Aug. 18, "Wings of Fancy," a live butterfly show, Brookside Gardens, Wheaton.

Sept. 19-23, weeklong trip to Lake Placid, N.Y., and the Adirondacks.

Oct. 1-3, train ride through the Tygart Valley Gorge, W.Va.; also visit Snow Shoe and Elkins.

Nov. 3, the reopening of the Walters Art Gallery Charles Street Building.

Dec. 1, Christmas From the Heart, Dutch Apple Dinner Theatre, Lancaster, Pa.

Dec. 8-9, Williamsburg, Va., at Christmastime, and the holiday lights display in Newport News Park.

Dec. 15, concert of songs and carols played on organ, piano and harpsichord at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, Hanover, Pa. Lunch at Hickory Bridge Farm.

South County center announces events

Monday, 12:30 p.m., discussion on diabetes.

Wednesday, 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., "Relay Wrap Event," night of dancing, with light refreshments. Cost: $5, to benefit Relay for Life team.

June 22, 1 p.m., "Memories of Elvis," with an Elvis impersonator.

June 23, 9 a.m. to 2:45 p.m., free vascular screenings. Registration.

June 24 and 25, Relay for Life, to benefit the American Cancer Society, at South River High School. 410-222-1927.

June 26, 12:30 p.m. to 3 p.m., free glaucoma screening. Registration.
