Police Blotter is a sam pling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Southeastern District

Arrest: Michael Chiveral, 18, of the 900 block of S. Decker St. was arrested about 7 a.m. Tuesday and charged with attempting to rob a 21-year-old woman of her purse moments earlier in the 900 block of S. Ann St. An investigation led to Chiveral also being charged with robbing a woman, 23, of more than $200 in the 500 block of S. Ann St. an hour earlier.

Arrest: Guiliano Santos, 16, of the 1400 block of Broening Highway was arrested Monday and charged as an adult with armed robbery. The victim, 46, was walking in the 6300 block of Boston St. about 2 a.m. when he was struck with a golf club and robbed of $12.

Southern District

Theft: A Kawasaki dirt bike valued at $400 was stolen Tuesday from the rear yard of a house in the 2600 block of Northshire Drive.

Robbery try: Three teenage boys assaulted a man, 44, in the 300 block of Jack St. about noon Tuesday, but fled empty-handed. The victim was treated at Harbor Hospital for minor injuries.

Central District

Robbery/arrest: A 23-year-old woman was in the 200 block of E. Pratt St. about 8 p.m. Tuesday, talking on her cell phone, when a teenager riding a yellow bicycle stole the phone. Moments later, police saw a man on a bike in the 100 block of E. Lombard St. and arrested him. Charged with robbery was Devon Crawford, 18, of the 200 block of St. Matthews St. The phone was recovered.

Theft from vehicle: A laptop computer and bookbag were stolen Tuesday from a 1997 Ford van in a garage in the 200 block of E. Pratt St.

Northern District

Robbery: A man asked a 34-year-old woman for change at Clearspring Road and East Northern Parkway about noon Tuesday, then stole her purse with $50, credit cards and other items.

Burglary: Two DVD players, two watches and several DVDs were stolen Tuesday from an apartment in the 5500 block of Midwood Ave.

Theft: A man left the Rite Aid store in the 1000 block of W. 41st St. on Tuesday without paying for $109 worth of hand soap.

Baltimore County

Woodlawn Precinct

Robbery: A gunman entered the Public Storage in the 1700 block of Whitehead Road about noon Tuesday and ordered a clerk to give him money from the cash register. He drove away in a green four-door Saturn with less than $20.

Franklin Precinct

Burglary: Someone entered a house in the 4700 block of Lions Heart Drive on Tuesday and stole 2 pounds of scallops from a freezer.

Cockeysville Precinct

Robberies: A gunman robbed the Holiday Inn Select in the 2100 block of Greenspring Drive and the Red Roof Inn nearby in the 100 block of W. Timonium Road between 8:40 p.m. and 9 p.m. Tuesday. An undisclosed sum of money was taken.
