Baltimore County police said today they are seeking a man suspected in a June 2 armed robbery and an attempted armed robbery in the White Marsh area.

Police said the suspect threatened a man with a handgun and demanded money around 9 p.m. in the Wal-Mart parking lot in the 6400 block of Petrie Way. The suspect allegedly took the man's wallet but was unable to find any cash inside, then threw the wallet back at him before walking away.

Ten minutes later, according to police, the suspect approached another man using an ATM at the Point Breeze Credit Union in the first block of Philadelphia Road. As the man withdrew money, the suspect allegedly threatened him with the gun and demanded cash and the man's ATM card.

Police said the suspect also attempted to steal the victim's car, but he later fled from the lot when a vehicle drove by.

Authorities described the suspect as 28 to 32 years old, black, standing 6 feet tall and weighing 180 pounds, with a thin build, brown eyes and black hair. He was last seen wearing a long, white T-shirt, dark-colored jeans and a baseball cap.

Anyone with information about this incident is urged to call Baltimore County police at 410-307-2020 or Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7-LOCKUP (1-866-756-2587). Callers can remain anonymous, and those calling Metro Crime Stoppers may be eligible for a cash reward for up to $2,000.
