Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Anne Arundel County.

Northern District

Destruction of property: A woman reported that a brick was thrown at her Dodge Dakota while her husband drove it on Interstate 695 near Interstate 97 Tuesday. The brick damaged the vehicle's rear window. Nobody was hurt.

Burglary: A Linthicum man reported that $18,000 in checks and cash was stolen from his home while he was out early Tuesday. Bundles of cash on a table were undisturbed. Doors and windows at the home were locked, and police found no evidence that they had been tampered with. The man runs a small business from his home.

Theft: A man stole about $100 in quarters from a pool table at a Glen Burnie coin-operated laundry Monday. A surveillance tape recorded a man kneeling next to the pool table for several minutes and leaving with a bulging pocket.

Shooting: A 16-year-old boy was shot Monday in the 6000 block of White Water Way in Glen Burnie. The victim was taken to the Maryland Shock Trauma Center. Detectives are investigating.

Eastern District

Suspect arrested: Robert Ward, 61, of Baltimore was arrested Wednesday in a drug investigation. Police observed him at three Pasadena bars. When he drove away from the last bar, officers stopped him for a possible traffic violation. A search revealed that Ward had $1,600 and 19 bags of cocaine worth $800, police said. The drugs, cash and 1989 Cadillac that he was driving were confiscated. Ward was charged with intent to distribute cocaine, possession of cocaine and traffic violations.

Theft: A .380-caliber pistol was stolen from an Odenton man's sock drawer. Two loaded magazines, a spare handle and a cleaning rod were also taken.

Armed robbery: A man armed with a rifle entered a 7-Eleven store on Ritchie Highway near Pasadena early Thursday, pointed the gun at a clerk and demanded money from the cash register.

Western District

Destruction of property: A woman's Jeep was broken into while it was parked in the Arundel Mills parking lot. The car's dashboard was damaged in what police believe was an attempt to remove the car radio.

Armed robbery: Two masked men, one armed with a handgun, entered the Crown gasoline station on Annapolis Road in Odenton and demanded that the clerk hand them money from the cash register. The men also stole cigarettes, cigars, butane lighters and the gas station's cordless phone. Officers and a canine unit canvassed the area but found no suspects.
