A 22-year-old Howard County man was fatally shot Saturday night on a street in Southwest Baltimore, city police reported.
The victim, identified as Frank Richard Shaulis of the 2600 block of Wynfield Road in West Friendship, was shot more than once about 9:30 p.m. in the 1400 block of W. Hamburg St., police said.
An area business owner heard the shots, walked out of his shop and found three men involved in a "commotion" near a gold-colored sport utility vehicle, said Officer Nicole Monroe, a police spokeswoman. As the shop owner approached, the men fled in the SUV, and he then spotted the victim lying on the ground, police said.
Shaulis was pronounced dead at the scene. No arrest had been made, and anyone with information about the case is urged to call 410-396-2100.
