Author of book about Lincoln to speak at Pratt event today
Author and historian Lerone Bennett Jr. will discuss and sign copies of his book on Abraham Lincoln's legact tonight at the Enoch Pratt Free Library's Wheeler Auditorium, 400 Cathedral St.
Bennett, editor of Ebony magazine, will speak about his book, Forced into Glory: Abraham Lincoln's White Dream, at 7 p.m.

Pasadena man critically hurt when pickup hits parked rig
A Pasadena man was in critical condition yesterday after the Chevrolet S-10 pickup truck he was driving crashed into the back of parked tractor-trailer near Crofton, Anne Arundel County police said.
Brandon Michael Dickerson, 39, was driving west on Conway Road, near Route 3, when he crashed into the 48-foot flatbed trailer about 5:30 a.m., police said. The tractor-trailer was parked on the shoulder, with its emergency lights on, police said.
