Baltimore City
Western District
Shooting: An unidentified man was shot about 5 p.m. yesterday in the first block of Wheeler Ave. and was being treated at the Maryland Shock Trauma Center for a wound that was not life-threatening, police said. Details were not available.
Southeastern District
Victim identified: Dionne Sanders, 25, of the 1600 block of Kingsway Road was named by police yesterday as the man who was fatally shot early Tuesday in the 600 block of N. East Ave. No arrest had been made.
Shooting: Quindell Smith, 27, was standing in the 6300 block of Fortview Way in O'Donnell Heights about 1 a.m. Tuesday when an unknown person shot him in the buttocks and left leg. Smith was reported in good condition at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center.
Theft: A compact-disc player, 4-inch TV, speakers and other electronics - all valued at $500 - were stolen Tuesday from a 1996 Nissan Sentra in the 500 block of Oldham St.
Theft: A miter saw valued at $300 was stolen Tuesday from a 1993 Ford pickup truck in the 700 block of S. Conkling St.
Eastern District
Victim named: Gerard Sparrow Jr., 20, of the 2600 block of W. Fairmount Ave. was identified yesterday as the man fatally shot Monday night in the 600 block of N. Robinson St. No arrest had been made.
Northern District
Theft: A combination stereo receiver/TV valued at $1,350 was stolen Tuesday from a 2003 Ford Expedition parked in the 5700 block of York Road.
Southern District
Assault: A male employee of a Family Dollar Store in the 2100 block of W. Patapsco Ave. approached a man in a wheelchair who was said to be trying to steal toilet tissue Tuesday afternoon, only to be threatened with a large knife before the man left.
Shooting: A 22-year-old woman was driving a Toyota Camry in the 1500 block of Locust St. about 6 p.m. Tuesday when a man in a passing gold-colored Mercury fired a shot that struck her car. The woman was not injured.
Theft: Stereo equipment and 10 compact discs - all worth $600 - were stolen Tuesday from a Honda Civic in the 200 block of Scott St.
Central District
Theft: Power tools valued at $450 were stolen Tuesday from a Dodge van parked in the 1900 block of Pennsylvania Ave.
Baltimore County
Woodlawn Precinct
Robbery/arrest: An Arbutus man was arrested Tuesday afternoon, moments after a holdup at the Beltway Motel & Restaurant in the 3600 block of Washington Blvd. A man implying he had a handgun robbed the motel of $173 at 3 p.m. and fled toward woods near Victory Drive. A county police helicopter crew spotted a suspect and led ground units to his hiding place. Arrested and charged with armed robbery and related offenses was David Sadler, 21, of the 1200 block of Linden Ave. Police recovered the money in the woods.
White Marsh Precinct
Burglary: A go-cart engine valued at $1,200 was stolen Tuesday from a garage in the 1000 block of Chesaco Ave.
Cockeysville Precinct
Burglary: Someone broke into a house in the first block of Bens Court in Parkton on Tuesday and removed several pieces of jewelery and coins from a bedroom.
Franklin Precinct
Burglary: Two men entered a house in the 4500 block of Tapscott Road through a rear door Tuesday and stole a .380-caliber Smith & Wesson semiautomatic handgun, jewelry, a 13-inch TV and a digital video disc player.-
