Officials have warned residents to avoid a stream near the Mount Hebron Sewage Pump Station behind Duff Court and Furrow Court in Ellicott City.
A sewer pipe blockage last weekend forced 125,600 gallons of wastewater to overflow a manhole cover.
County crews were called to the station Sunday evening and removed several large plastic trash bags that got into an 8-inch diameter sewer pipe Saturday night.
