Charlotte 6, Ottawa 3: The visiting Knights (10-23) scored three runs in the sixth inning to avoid a third straight loss to the Lynx (17-14). Dave Sanders (1-1) got the win and, Dave Borkowski (2-4) took the loss.
Double-A Eastern League
Bowie 5, Binghamton 3: Winner Eric DuBose (2-3) held the host Mets (17-17) to one run on two hits and struck out six for the Baysox (14-19). Bowie ended its six-game road trip by taking two of three from Binghamton, the second series win of the season.
Single-A Carolina League
Frederick 4, Myrtle Beach 2: Dustin Yount's two-run homer in the top of the third helped the visiting Keys (17-16) get past the .500 mark for the first time this season. Frederick totaled 13 hits against the Pelicans (17-17)
Single-A South Atlantic League
Hagerstown 7, Hickory 2: The North Division-leading Suns (23-10) hit four home runs against the host Crawdads (14-19). The Suns have hit 17 homers in the past five games, all wins, and are on pace to hit 204. West Virginia 11, Delmarva 8: The visiting Power (9-23) scored three times in the 10th to beat the Shorebirds (16-17). West Virginia was up 8-1 in the ninth.
