NANCY M. MOONEY, 78, of Bowie, MD and formerly of Pocomoke City, died Sunday, April 24, 2005 at Doctors Community Hospital in Lanham, MD. Born in Baltimore on July 18, 1926, she was a daughter of the late John and Anne Doyle. Her husband, Forrest Mooney, preceded her in death on March 28, 1974. Mrs. Mooney was retired from the Worcester County Board of Education, where she was employed for many years as a Secretary at the Pocomoke Middle School. Prior to her years at Pocomoke Middle School, she had been employed at the Citizens National Bank in Pocomoke City and by NASA at Wallops Island. A devout Catholic, she was a member of St. Edwards Catholic Church in Bowie, MD. Prior to that, she had been an active member of Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church in Pocomoke. She is survived by a sister, Sr. Mary Teresa Doyle DC of Emittsburg, MD; two daughters, Teresa of Milton , DE and Cathy of Philadelphia; a son, Michael and his wife Wilma of Beltsville, MD and a grandson, Kurt, of St. Joseph's University in Philadelphia. A Memorial Mass will be held 2 pm, Saturday, April 30, 2005, at the Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church in Pocomoke City, officiated by Father William Porter.
