Balto. Co. police seek witness in rape case

Man seen last month in same area as Feb. crime against Towson student

Baltimore County police today said they are searching for a possible witness to the Feb. 15 rape of a 21-year-old Towson University student in the Fairways at Towson apartment complex.

According to police, the woman was sleeping in her apartment in the 1300 block of Airlie Way when an unknown man broke in just after 5 a.m. The man allegedly sexually assaulted and raped her.

Police said that a man who might have witnessed the rape was seen in the same area about 11:30 p.m. March 24, watching people walk into their apartments.

The witness is described as black, 18 to 20 years old, standing about 6 feet tall, with a medium build and light complexion. He was last seen wearing a hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and a red baseball cap.

Anyone with information about the incident or the possible witness is urged to call Baltimore County police at 410-307-2020.
