Edward B. Rush, 74, SHA administrator

Edward B. Rush, a retired State Highway Administration worker, died of heart and lung illness Thursday at his home in Westminster. He was 74.

Born in Baltimore, Mr. Rush attended public schools and served in the Army during the Korean War. He held several jobs in Baltimore before starting work as an administrator with the highway agency.

He was a member of the Westminster United Methodist Church, the Hanover Republican Club and the American Legion Carroll Post 31.

He was married to Agnes Meixner Rush for 47 years.

A service will be held at 11 a.m. today at Westminster United Methodist Church, 165 E. Main St.

In addition to his wife, survivors include two daughters, Denise R. Keegan of Yardley, Pa., and Darlene Sadowski of Westminster; a son, Douglas Rush of Westminster; a brother, Willard C. Rush of Westminster; two sisters, Elizabeth M. Stump of Westminster and Peggie J. Oeltgen of Chicago, five grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
