Baltimore City

Western District

Assault: An 18-year-old man was arguing with a girl, 15, in the 2500 block of Woodbrook Ave. about 11:20 a.m. Saturday when he hit her several times on the head with a length of wood. She refused medical attention; the assailant was being sought.

Theft: Police were seeking a 51-year-old woman who entered the home of a 98-year-old woman in the 1900 block of Harlem Ave. on Saturday and stole an envelope with $50 from a table.

Southern District

Theft from vehicle: Someone cut the vinyl top of a 2003 Toyota MR2 on Saturday while the vehicle was parked in the first block of W. West St. and stole a pair of sunglasses valued at $120.

Baltimore County

Franklin Precinct

Robbery: A couple were attacked late Saturday by a man armed with a baseball bat who forced his way into their home in the 4000 block of Balmoral Circle. About 11 p.m., the husband, 64, was awakened by a loud noise and was attacked in a hallway by a man who struck him several times on the head with the bat. When the victim's 62-year-old wife tried to call 911, the man struck her on the arm, knocking the telephone to the floor. The attacker fled after taking an undisclosed sum of money.
