New MARC commuter train schedules are set to begin Monday, with five minutes added to the arrival and departure times for all Camden and Brunswick Line trains.

Other Penn Line changes include Train 438 leaving Washington at 6:05 p.m. and going to Perryville, while Train 540 will leave Washington at 6:35 p.m. and go only to Baltimore.

The temporary arrival and departure times are expected to last through the summer.

On May 2, major construction work is scheduled to begin on the Susquehanna Bridge tracks, lasting about six weeks. MARC schedule changes will include:

Southbound Train 503 will begin in Aberdeen instead of Perryville. Passengers driving to Aberdeen for this train may buy a $5 permit on the Thomas J. Hatem Memorial Bridge across U.S. 40 for unlimited crossing for a year.

Southbound Train 513 will leave Edgewood at 6:48 a.m. passengers from Perryville and Aberdeen will be permitted on Amtrak Train 151 with their MARC tickets.

Northbound Train 538 will end at Edgewood, and Amtrak will add Aberdeen and Perryville stops to its Train 138. Train 138 leaves Washington five minutes after MARC Train 538, and MARC tickets will be honored on that Amtrak train.

Northbound Train 544, which leaves Washington at 8:30 p.m., will end service at Edgewood. MARC passengers going to Aberdeen and Perryville can use MARC tickets to ride Amtrak Train 198, which leaves Washington at 9 p.m.
