Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Central District

Carjacking try/arrest: Eric Yelcich, 36, was stopped at a traffic signal in the 1100 block of W. North Ave. about 11:40 p.m. Wednesday when a man - implying he had a gun - forced his way into the 1992 Honda Accord and told Yelcich to drive to Park Circle. Instead, Yelcich turned onto the driveway of a nearby BP station and told a bystander to call the police. Moments later, Officer Carl Seibert arrested Vernon Lee, 42, of the 3600 block of Reisterstown Road, and charged him with assault and attempted carjacking. No gun was found.

Western District

Shooting: Andre Dudley, 23, was in serious condition at the Maryland Shock Trauma Center after being shot in the upper chest and right leg about 9 p.m. Wednesday in the 100 block of N. Poppleton St.

Southeastern District

Robbery: Police were seeking four males who beat and kicked Bruce Miller, 24, in the 2500 block of Eastern Ave. about 9 p.m. Tuesday and robbed him of $20.

Northern District

Robbery: A 37-year-old woman was walking in an alley in the 2400 block of N. Charles St. about 7 p.m. Wednesday when two men stole her purse containing cash and three gold rings.

Baltimore County

White Marsh Precinct

Arrests: Officer Thomas Davis of the Maryland Transportation Authority Police stopped the driver of a 1999 Chrysler with Georgia tags on southbound Interstate 95 near White Marsh about 5 p.m. Wednesday for a seatbelt violation. Neither the driver nor his male passenger had identification. A search of both men and the car turned up a knife, brass knuckles, marijuana, three Ecstasy tablets and drug paraphernalia. Arrested on drug and weapons charges was the driver, Nicholas A. Priet, 20, of the 3400 block of Walford Drive, Dundalk. David Dukes III, 19, of the 200 block of Southeastern Terrace in Essex, was charged with weapons possession.

Towson Precinct

Robbery/assault: A man, 22, and a woman, 27, were seated in her car parked at Sharon and Arran roads about 12:30 a.m. Wednesday when a gunman ordered the man out and robbed him of $22. When the woman tried to intervene, the gunman struck her in the face with his weapon.

Parkville Precinct

Robbery: A 17-year-old was robbed of $60 by four males along Avondale Road near California Avenue about 5 p.m. Wednesday.
