What's the point?: Google has launched a beta version of a map service, ostensibly to compete with Mapquest and Yahoo maps.

What to look for?: The big selling point (or security issue, depending on your perspective) is apparent when you click on the "Satellite" button -- type in many addresses, and you can see an aerial photograph of the area. It's not available for all areas, but it is for many, particularly in the Baltimore-Washington area, though some of the images are a couple of years old.
