Bob Marley's sons come to the Funk Box

Damian "Jr. Gong" Marley, son of reggae icon Bob Marley, brings his Grammy Award-winning sound to the Funk Box tomorrow as part of a national tour to support his new hit single "Welcome to Jamrock." Stephen Marley, Damian's brother, will also make an appearance at the show, where they will celebrate their Jamaican roots. Jah Works, a local reggae band infused with elements of hip-hop, R&B and rock, will open for the Marley brothers.

Favorite conversations

Get the inside scoop from behind the microphone of NPR personality Terry Gross, host of the weekday interview program Fresh Air. Gross will talk about her favorite interviews with prominent guests in the arts and on the entertainment scene from the past 30 years. She will also sign copies of her compilation of transcripts from her show, All I Did Was Ask: Conversations With Writers, Actors, Musicians and Artists, which was published in September.

Gross will appear tomorrow at 7:30 p.m. at Center Stage, 700 N. Calvert St. Tickets are $25 for WYPR members and $35 for nonmembers.
