CodeRyte Inc., provider of medical coding technologies and Internet-based medical coding services, said Jerome Benuck joined the Bethesda firm as head of strategic account sales.

Manugistics Group Inc. appointed Peter Shearer as director of solution consulting for the Rockville-based provider of supply chain and revenue management solutions.

Frost & Sullivan awarded its 2005 Technology Innovation & Leadership award to InforMedix Holdings Inc. The Rockville-based firm has developed and piloted a Web-based medication monitoring device.

M&T Bank appointed August J. Chiasera as president of its greater Baltimore region, Ralph W. Emerson Jr. as manager of the financial institutions division and Karen Schonfeld as administrative vice president and manager of the bank's Mid-Atlantic business banking group.

The Columbia Bank appointed Patrick M. Shurney as vice president, commercial banking for the Howard County financial institution.
