DR. DONALD G. MEREDITH, 59 of Boca Raton, FL., formerly of Kingsville, MD, died suddenly on April 12, 2005. Don was born in Bel Air, MD, son of Dr. G.G. and Jane Meredith of Towson, MD. He grew up on his family's Thoroughbred breeding farm, Merry Acres, in Kingsville, MD. When he left the farm he moved to Rockville, MD and became editor of the Horseman's Journal. Don then became the publicity director for Laurel Race Track. He then moved to Delaware to pursue his interest in race horse training, there becoming a steeple chase jockey. Don the resumed his education, graduating from the University of Delaware in 1982, and the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 1987. Dr. Meredith then practiced veterinary medicine in Florida. His passions included reading, music, marine biology, sport fishing, travel cooking, fine dining, renovating houses, and caring for cats. In addition to his parents he is survived by his brother, George G. Meredith, Jr. of Cockeysville, MD, and his daughter Heather Meredith Monard, of Upper Jay, NY. His will be solely missed by those whose lives he touched. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Morris Animal Foundation would be appreciated. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 P.M. Wednesday April 27, 2005 at South Inlet Park, Boca Raton, FL.
