JAMES "JIM" LEONARD SCHNEIDER age 69 passed away March 16, 2005 at Lower Keys Medical Center. A resident of the keys since 1992 James was born July 27, 1935 in Milwaukee, WI the son of Henry and Esther (Bertling) Schneider. After many years of hard work and persistence founded the company Structural Preservation Systems, around the age of 40. A small company which grew from a few employees to 364 when he retired at age 53. This company today still continues to grow and now employs over 1000 people. Once retired Jim traveled meeting and making numerous friends. Always giving help to those who crossed his path. Even in his death, he still touches many hearts and will always be remembered and loved. Jim is survived by his friend, companion and soulmate, Joy Belle Finch and seven daughters and three sons, Mary Beth Bissonnete, Cheryl Hart, Lisa Mueller, Moya Wadsworth, James D. Schneider, Sarah Santana, Latasha Schneider, Brett M. Schneider, Bonita David and Gregory Schneider. His generation succeeds 16 beloved grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Among many other friends and associates who respected and cared for him. A Memorial Service with Eulogy given by close friend Jim Cragg III was held at Dean-Lopez Funeral Home Key West on Simonton St. March 29, 2005 at 11 a.m. A special farewell to his K-9 companion Princess "Gracie" of Venus for her unconditional love and acceptance. In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made in Jim's memory to Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Dean-Lopez Funeral Home Key West entrusted with all arrangements.
