On April 15, 2005, KATHRYN HEINZ, 94, passed away quietly at North Collier Hospital, following a short illness. Ms. Heinz was born on May 13, 1910 of parents, Irma C. and George M. Heinz in Baltimore, MD. She was a graduate of Eastern High School and Towson University. She received her BA from John Hopkins University and her Masters from Columbia University. She was employed by the Baltimore City Public School System, retiring as a principal. She previously had residences in Pasadena, MD and North Ft. Myers until moving to Bentley Village in Naples in 1986, where she enjoyed extensive volunteer work in- between many cruises. She loved people and travel. Ms. Heinz was predeceased by her parents; and a brother, G. Robert Heinz of Baltimore. She is survived by her sister, Peggie Heinz James of Irvington, VA; a niece, Linda Claire James of Montreal, Canada and North Hero, VT; a nephew and his wife, Larry and Martha James and their two sons, Aaron J. and Jonathan D. James, all of Westford, MA; a niece, Joyce Heinz; and nephew, Bruce R. Heinz, both of Baltimore, MD. A memorial service will be held at Bentley Village on Friday, April 22nd at 10 A.M. Memorials may be made to Friends of Bentley Village, 561 Bentley Village Court, Naples, FL 34110 or a charity of one's choice. National Cremation Society is making arrangements.
