On Monday, April 11, 2005, JAMES GEORGE MANDRIS, longtime Annapolis resident, died of heart failure at the Greater Baltimore Medical Center in Baltimore, Maryland. Survived by his wife of 59 years, Pauline James Mandris, his daughter Christina Mandris Turner and her husband Mark D. Turner, grandchildren Paulina, Samuel and James Turner all of Malvern, PA, and his son George James "Kip" Mandris of Baltimore. He is also survived by a brother Chris Mandrapilias of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. His other siblings preceded him in death, Peter Mandrapilias, Toronto, Canada, Basil Mandrapilias, Sparta, Greece, Captain Elian Mandrapilias, Royal Army of the Hellenes, Athens, Greece, Pota Exarhakos, Hobart, Tasmania, and Dina Karkambasis, Sparta, Greece. Mr. Mandris is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be at SS. Constantine and Helen, Greek Orthodox Church, 2747 Riva Road, Annapolis, MD at 10:30 Friday, April 15. Visitation will be held at Taylors Funeral Home, 147 Duke of Gloucester Street on Thursday from 2 to 4 in the afternoon and 7 to 9 in the evening. Interment at St. Demetrius Cemetery, Riva Road and West Street, Annapolis, MD. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Ss. Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church. Funeral arrangements are by the John M. Taylor Funeral Home, Annapolis, MD.
