Donald Scott

Bowling Brook Prep, track

The senior was involved in four victories that helped the Thoroughbreds upend No. 3 Mount St. Joseph, No. 5 Glenelg and No. 8 Winters Mill to capture the Falcons Invitational at Winters Mill. It was the Thoroughbreds' first invitational crown since 2001.

Scott accounted for 40 of Bowling Brook Prep's 122 points. He took the 100-meter dash in 10.95 seconds and the 200 in 22.49.

He also teamed with seniors Stacy Clark, Chris Jones and Daitrous Ghee to win the 400 relay in 44.48 seconds. In addition, Scott joined Ghee and seniors Malcom Edwards and Tim Pryor, who won the 800 relay in 1 minute, 33.14 seconds.


Carly Martin

Seton Keough, softball

The sophomore pitcher had a dominating week on the mound and also made timely contributions at the plate to lead the No. 15 Gators (5-1) to four wins.

In her three starts, Martin came away with three two-hit wins. She opened with a 1-0 shutout over John Carroll that featured 10 strikeouts. In a 3-2 win over Catonsville, she struck out 12 and hit the game-winning triple to outduel Comets standout pitcher Amanda Fefel. She finished the week with an eight-strikeout performance against Mercy in a 6-0 shutout in which she went 4-for-4.

Martin also pitched two hitless innings of relief in a 5-1 win over McDonogh, striking out four. For the season, the two-year starter is 4-0 with an 0.88 ERA and 78 strikeouts. She's hitting .366 and leads the team with six RBIs.
