Atlantic Scaffolding Co. hired Craig Kaple as executive vice president of the Columbia-based builder and supplier of commercial and industrial scaffold systems.

SSi Consulting named Lisa Armstrong as lead consultant for Microsoft Great Plains software at the McLean, Va., office for the Baltimore-based firm of business management software consultants.

Weinberg Harris & Associates, a Baltimore-based marketing and public relations agency, hired Jennifer Hodgins as a senior account executive and Jennifer Katz as an assistant account executive.

Gaines McHale Antiques & Home named Laura O'Keefe manager of its showroom in the Cotton Shed Building at Savage Mill.

ON THE BOARD

The Baltimore Symphony Orchestra appointed A.G.W. "Jack" Biddle III, Anthony Brandon, Kenneth W. DeFontes Jr., John P. Hollerbach and W. Gar Richlin to seats on its board of directors.

Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America named Hiromi Yoshikawa to a seat on the board of directors of the Washington-based organization.

AWARDS

The American Health Lawyers Association named Leonard C. Homer, Thomas K. Hyatt and Sanford V. Teplitzky as Health Law Fellows. The three are principals in the Baltimore law firm of Ober/Kaler.

COMMERCIAL REAL ESTATE

MacKenzie Cushman & Wakefield appointed P. Timothy Shanklin, formerly with Corridor RF&S, as a vice president of the Columbia-based commercial real estate services firm.

Nottingham Properties said Shannon D. Herold joined the Towson development and management firm as a leasing representative.

BANKING & FINANCE

Provident Bank announced the appointments of Mary E. Wamsley, small business division, Richard P. Steele, consumer banking group, and Dorothy Reed, operations division, as senior vice presidents for the Baltimore-headquartered regional bank.

The Bank of Glen Burnie appointed Barbara J. Elswick as senior vice president, loan administration, operations and credit department, and Deborah J. Youngbar as a branch officer for the oldest independent commercial bank in Anne Arundel County.

SunTrust Bank, Maryland named John W. Oakley as manager of the Pikesville branch and Jonathan Cameron, east Baltimore County, and Henry Lee Cherry III, northeast Baltimore County, as officers in the bank's retail division.

Sturn Wagner Lombardo & Company LLC, a certified public accountant and business consulting firm in Annapolis, said Anne K. Harley has joined its auditing and accounting department as a staff accountant.
