New Windsor: 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. May 10 at the town fire hall, 209 High St. Incumbent Mayor Sam Pierce unopposed. Incumbents Neal Roop and Edwin Palsgrove and challenger Kevin Shaughness are vying for two seats. Filing deadline is tomorrow.
Sykesville: 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. May 3 at the Town House, 7547 Main St. Mayor Jonathan S. Herman unopposed. Five candidates, including incumbents Debby Ellis, Eugene Johnson and Jeannie Nichols, vie for three council seats. Challengers include James M. Dore and Jason D. Plummer. Nominations are closed. Johnson, who was not present during the nominations March 28, has until tomorrow to accept.
FOR THE RECORD - In an April 10 article in the Carroll County section on municipal elections, the location for voting in Westminster was listed incorrectly. The city has two precincts for voting May 9: Westminster Fire and Hose Co. No. 1 on John Street and the Community Center on Royer Road.

Westminster: 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. May 9 at City Hall, 1838 Emerald Hill Lane. Councilman Thomas K. Ferguson runs for mayor against incumbent Kevin E. Dayhoff. Five candidates for two council seats. Filing deadline is tomorrow.
