Grubb elected president of state dental association

Dr. Richard V. Grubb of Havre de Grace has been elected president of Maryland State Dental Association, the association announced.

Grubb was born and raised in Havre de Grace, graduated from the University of Maryland College of Dental Surgery in 1975. After a residency at Sinai Hospital, where he received advanced training in surgery and anesthesia, he began practicing general and implant dentistry in Havre de Grace.

He is a fellow of the International College of Oral Implantologists and an associate fellow of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, a member of the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology and has a certificate in intravenous sedation.

Baby Shower planned for May 7 at mall

Upper Chesapeake Health will hold a Harford County Baby Shower from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 7 at Harford Mall's Center Court in Bel Air.

Vendors will offer products. Upper Chesapeake will hold a maternity fashion show and provide information on prenatal health, post-delivery health, breast-feeding and child safety.
