Ex-Raven Douglas gets 3-year deal with 49ers

Former Ravens defensive end Marques Douglas agreed to a three-year, $4.5 million contract with the San Francisco 49ers yesterday. Douglas, a starter with the Ravens the past two seasons, led the defensive line with 92 tackles and 5 1/2 sacks last year.

The Ravens' probable switch to a 4-3 defense and Terrell Suggs move from linebacker to the defensive line left Douglas out of the team's plans. ...

NFL officials confirmed they are looking into cornerback Samari Rolle's legal case. Rolle received 11 months and 29 days probation in a settlement of a domestic violence charge. A suspension remains unlikely. ...

The preseason schedule has been finalized. The Ravens will play at Atlanta on Aug. 13, host Philadelphia on Aug. 20, play at New Orleans on Aug. 26 and host Washington on Sept. 1. All games are at 8 p.m. The regular-season schedule will be released Wednesday.
