Verizon phone service disrupted in Towson

Officials warn of temporary problems after cable line accidentally cut

Baltimore County officials said today that Verizon telephone service was experiencing temporary problems in Towson after a cable line was accidentally cut.

According to officials, most 911 emergency lines were still available, though callers may experience delays. Anyone having difficulty reaching 911 was urged to call 410-887-2222.

Technicians were working to correct the problem.
