2 city police officers hurt when motorcycles collide on I-95

Two Baltimore police officers were injured yesterday evening when their motorcycles collided on Interstate 95 in Southeast Baltimore, police reported.

Traffic Division Officers Bryan Poff and Timothy Hughes were northbound on I-95 and nearing the Boston Street exit ramp about 7 p.m. when, for an unknown reason, their motorcycles collided, spilling them onto the pavement, police said.

Poff, an officer for 13 years, and Hughes, a nine-year veteran, were treated for minor injuries at the Maryland Shock Trauma Center. The accident was under investigation early today.
