GERTRUDE "DELL" RIDDELL, needle work enthusiast, of Hamilton, died on April 3, 2005, at the Gilchrist Center for Hospice Care, the former Gertrude Hepner, was born in Baltimore, attended school at Holy Rosary and was married for more than 45 years to Merchant Marine Captain Russell R. Riddell who died in 1991. She greatly enjoyed needlework and her entries of needlepoint, crochet and knitting in the Maryland State Fair won her prizes at every fair for nearly 50 years. She is survived by her sister Marie Langley, her son Russell Ridell and his wife Sandra, all of Towson, her granddaughter and great-grandson, Jennifer and Nicholas Rademaker of Johannesburg, S. Africa, her granddaughter Vanessa Riddell of London, England Riddell A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Dominic Church on Saturday at 10 A.M. Interment Holy Rosary Cemetery. Friends may call at the family owned Leonard J. Ruck Inc., Funeral Home, 5305 Harford Road (at Echodale) on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M.
