Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Central District

Victim named: Gary McFadden, 27, of the 3700 block of Sequoia Ave. was identified by city police yesterday as the man who was fatally shot about 3 a.m. Sunday during a fight on the parking lot of Mount Vernon Market Center in the 800 block of Guilford Ave. A second man was wounded. No arrest had been made.

Northwestern District

Victim identified: A man who was fatally shot about 1 p.m. Friday in the 5200 block of Cuthbert Ave. was identified by police yesterday as Wentley Tyrone Roberts, 35, of the 3700 block of Hayward Ave. No arrest had been made.

Southern District

Shooting: Someone shot a 23-year-old man in the hand late Sunday as he walked in an alley of the 4500 block of Pennington Ave. He was treated at Harbor Hospital Center.

Northern District

Burglary: Jewelry and watches valued at $1,500 were stolen Sunday from a house in the 500 block of W. University Parkway.

Baltimore County

Wilkens Precinct

Stolen vehicle/arrest: Officer Erik Socha was patrolling near Interstate 95 and Washington Boulevard about 5:30 p.m. Sunday when he stopped a 1998 Honda Accord for a traffic violation. A check showed the car had been stolen. Arrested and charged with auto theft was Darrell Smith, 19, of the 4700 block of 8th St., Brooklyn.
