Scottish team edges Mount Carmel, 16-15

The Mount Carmel girls lacrosse team hosted visiting Glenalmond of Scotland, narrowly losing, 16-15, to a team that has three players on the All-Scottish junior national team.

All-Scottish players Kirsty Maclean and Lindsey Brunton scored four goals apiece, and Laura Stoll added two goals.

Glenalmond (11-0) is undefeated in international play, having swept England in the Small Schools National Lacrosse Final, a tournament involving more than 50 teams from the United Kingdom.

Glenalmond coach Sue Maclean's team will play teams from Philadelphia, Baltimore and Washington before going back to Scotland.

The Cougars fell to 2-2.
