On April 1, 2005, JEAN ALLWINEMac NEMAR, 77, of Glen Burnie, MD since 1980, passed away at North Arundel Hospital due to complications of a stroke. She was born December 24, 1927 in Washington, D.C.. She attended Holton Arms High School in Washington, D.C. and Central High School, also in D.C. She graduated from Central in 1945 and attended George Washington University and the University of Maryland. She was a homemaker who traveled extensively with her husband during his Army career and lived overseas in Austria and Turkey. She received commendations from US Forces in Austria, NATO in Turkey, and Ft. George G. Meade in MD for her Red Cross Service and received at 20 year pin from the Red Cross. She was a member of St. Stephens Episcopal Church, Alpha Delta Pi Sorority, Indian Landing Boat Club and long time member of the Red Cross...was a volunteer for over 20 years. Her interests include traveling, cooking, reading and she loved animals. Her survivors are husband, Dunbar D. Mac Nemar, married since 1949. She leaves to mourn sons, Louis Harrison Mac Nemar of Millersville, MD; daughters, Barbara Louise Mac Nemar and Margaret Mac Nemar-Radford both of Millersville, MD; two grandchildren; predeceased by parents Louis P. and Maude Rogers Allwine. Visitation, Tuesday April 5, 2005 from 2 to 4 an 6 to 8 P.M. at Hardesty Funeral Home, P.M. A Memorial Gathering will be on Wednesday, April 6, 2005 at 10 A.M. at St. Stephens Episcopal Church, 1110 St. Stephens Church Road, Crownsville, MD 21032. Interment immediately following at the Church cemetery. Arrangements by Hardesty Funeral Home, P.A., 851 Annapolis Road, Gambrills, MD 21054.
