Despite an impressive showing by rookie goalie Melissa Darmody with 16 saves, No. 8 Mount de Sales fell to host No. 5 Notre Dame Prep, 9-7, in an Interscholastic Athletic Association of Maryland A Conference girls lacrosse game.

In the final two minutes, Mount de Sales (3-1, 1-1) rallied for two goals but it wasn't enough.

The Blazers (3-1, 2-0), who had a one-goal lead at halftime, pulled ahead in the second half thanks to junior low attack Molly Ford. She scored four goals to give NDP a commanding lead in the second half as the Blazers held on for the win.

No. 2 St. Paul's 8, Maryvale 7: Megan Del Monte led the Gators (3-0) with four goals, including the game-winner, and an assist against the visiting Lions.

With a minute to go, St. Paul's had a free-position shot on Lydia Sanza. Sanza stopped the possible game-winner and made her ninth save to preserve St. Paul's win.

CHEN 2, Park 0: Right-hander Jeremy Grove pitched a no-hitter to lead the Chargers (2-1) over the visiting Bruins.

No. 9 Broadneck 12, St. Mary's 0: In his first start, right-hander Zack Tribull (1-0) threw a five-inning no-hitter, striking out five and walking one to help the host Bruins (3-0) beat the Saints.
