Blast tonight

Matchup: Cleveland Force (16-14) vs. Blast (13-18)

Site: 1st Mariner Arena

Time: 7:35

Radio: WCBM (680 AM)

Outlook: The Blast continues to shake up its lineup with trades and signings. Two weeks ago, F Mike Apple and D Nate Houser arrived in a trade with St. Louis for Chile Farias. On Tuesday, forwards Joel Bailey and Sipho Sibiya arrived in a trade for D Neil Gilbert and MF Allen Eller. And, on Wednesday, the team announced that F Machel Millwood (sports hernia surgery) will be out for the season and signed D Steve Fell (Towson University), the Blast's second-round pick in the 2005 MISL amateur draft. Fourth-place Cleveland is facing a challenge from fifth-place Chicago and the sixth-place Blast for the final MISL playoff spot. It was announced this week that the Force is for sale, and if a buyer is not found, it could close its doors for a season in an effort to reorganize. The Blast has won three of five from Cleveland this season. Besides Millwood, the Blast will be without Denison Cabral, Adilson De Lima and Carlos Garcia, who are all out following knee surgery.
