Salisbury women stay unbeaten, rout Randolph-Macon, 22-4

The Salisbury women's lacrosse team demonstrated why it is the top-ranked team in Division III as the Sea Gulls coasted to a 22-4 victory over Randolph-Macon (4-2) yesterday.

Amanda Tack led the visiting Sea Gulls (7-0) with four goals and two assists, and Linda Ackermann had four goals and one assist.

Goucher 16, Washington College 4: Ashley Snyder finished with eight goals and an assist, and Whitney Groseclose had three goals for the host Gophers (4-3).

Senior Lindsey Eichner scored two goals for the Shorewomen (3-5).

No. 10 Hofstra 16, Stony Brook 6: Midfielder Becky Thorn and sophomore attackman Kim Hillier paced the host Pride (8-1) with four goals each.

The Seawolves fell to 4-3.

Men

No. 2 Duke 21, Mount St. Mary's 5: The Mount's three- game winning streak came to an end as the host Blue Devils scored three times in the first three minutes.

Matt Danowski led the Blue Devils (10-0) with four goals, all in the first half, and Nick Jackson scored his first career goal for the Mount (3-3).

Albany 9, No. 19 Dartmouth 7: The Big Green (3-2) lost to the unranked Great Danes after defeating No. 4 Maryland last week.

Host Albany improved to 4-2.
