Cecil ousted from NJCAA tournament

DANVILLE, Ill. - Cecil Community College of North East fell, 66-64, to Brown Mackie College of Salina, Kan., last night in the first round of the National Junior College Athletic Association's Men's Division II basketball tournament at Danville Area Community College.

Cecil had a chance to tie the game on Adam Gonzalez's last-second shot, which missed.

Craig Winder was high scorer for Cecil with 18 points, and Aaron Wyatt scored 15.

Chris Wehye was the team's top rebounder with eight.

Cecil trailed 33-29 at the half.

James Dixon was high scorer for Brown Mackie with 17 points.
