Loyola holds off Delaware, 10-8

Australian Kate McHarg had a hat trick, including two goals in the game's first six minutes, and then No. 11 Loyola withstood a late rally to defeat No. 19 Delaware, 10-8, in women's lacrosse at Rullo Stadium in Newark, Del., yesterday.

The Greyhounds (2-2) ended a two-game losing streak with their 11th straight win over the Blue Hens (1-1).

Mount St. Mary's 8, Lehigh 5: Nicole Di'Angelo (St. Mary's) scored twice, including the game-winner, for the visiting Mount (1-2). Di'Angelo scored in the first half to give the Mount a 2-1 edge and got the game-winner midway through the second.

Christine Smith's two goals led the Mountain Hawks (3-1).

Shenandoah 13, Washington College 11: Erika Bradd had four goals to lead the Hornets (2-1) past the Shorewomen (1-2) in Orlando, Fla.

Catholic 7, St. Mary's 4: The host Cardinals (2-2, 1-2 Capital Athletic Conference) recorded their second career win over the Seahawks (2-2, 0-1).
