Allyson Hardy scored 36 points to lead Bowie State to a 91-89 overtime win over Livingstone College (8-19) yesterday in the first game of the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association women's basketball tournament in Raleigh, N.C.

With the score tied at 89, Hardy hit two free throws with 0.5 of a second left in overtime.

The Lady Bulldogs (16-11) face North Carolina Central today at 1 p.m.

Men

Drexel 66, Towson 60: Kenell Sanchez had season highs with 17 points and eight rebounds to lead the Dragons (17-10, 12-6 Colonial Athletic Association) past the host Tigers.

The Dragons led at halftime by eight and didn't trail after that.

The Tigers cut the lead to four with six minutes to play, but Drexel's Phil Goss hit the 300th three-pointer of his career to put the Dragons up by seven.

Trevan Jackson led the Tigers with 12 points.

Robert Morris 80, Mount St. Mary's 67: Mychal Kearse scored a career-high 19 points, but it was not enough as the host Colonials (14-14, 11-7 Northeast Conference) pulled away in the second half for the victory.

The Mount, which didn't qualify for the conference tournament, finished its season 7-20 and 5-13.

Postponements

The UMES-Morgan State men's and women's games scheduled for last night were postponed because of the weather and rescheduled for tonight at Morgan State, with the women's game at 5:30 and the men's game at 7:30.
