Albert Findlay Carr, 79, BGE worker, choir member

Albert Findlay Carr, who retired from the Baltimore Gas and Electric Co. after 37 years, died of cancer Saturday at Franklin Square Hospital Center. The Oak Crest Village resident was 79.

Born in New Bedford, Mass., he came to Baltimore in 1948 after his graduation from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Mr. Carr held various positions with BGE, including assistant to the treasurer and general supervisor in various commercial departments. He retired in 1985.

He was an active member for more than 40 years of Roland Park Presbyterian Church, where he served as a deacon, trustee and elder. He also sang in the church choir. In 1990, he joined Towson Presbyterian Church, where he also sang in the choir.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Towson Presbyterian Church, 400 W. Chesapeake Ave.

Survivors include several cousins.
