Lawson, Ida Mae

On Thursday, February 24, 2005, IDA MAE (nee Frye) LAWSON, went to be with her Lord after a long illness. She was born in Covington, Virginia on July 2, 1905 to the late John and Hettie Leanna Frye and was one of eight children. She was married 50 years to the late Marion N. Lawson. Ida is survived by her daughters, Edith Summerford and Veda Hutson, the late Freda Brant, Lucian Lawson and Lois Amereihn. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren. She was known as "Granny" to all who knew and loved her. She will especially be missed by her daughters who provided around-the-clock care with the daily help of grandchildren Pam Carroll and her son, Jason. Mom will also be missed by her best friend Jean Turner. Her family will receive friends on Saturday, February 26 and Sunday, February 27 from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 P.M. at the Bruzdzinski Funeral Home, 1407 Old Eastern Avenue, Essex, MD. A celebration of her life will be held on Monday, February 28, 11 A.M. at Hope Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1901 Middleborough Road, Essex, MD. Interment in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, 6515 Boston Street, Baltimore, MD.
