On February 23, 2005, after a long illness, MARY JEANNIE KENNEY, 75; beloved eldest daughter of Charles R. Noel, Sr. and Mary Cecilia Cullinan Noel. Jeannie attended Baltimore Public Schools, graduating from Douglass High in 1948, Cortez Peters School of Business and attended Morgan State College and continuing a life long learning experience. During her lifetime, she was a high fashioned model, gracing New York runways and appeared in Ebony and Jet Magazines. She was considered one of the most beautiful women in Baltimore City, possessing poise, grace and having a flair for fashion. Jeannie was employed by the state of Maryland Motor Vehicles Division, Baltimore City Housing Authority and retired as a City Health Inspector. She took great pride in her various business ventures and personal interest. She was a Real Estate Investor and became an Ordained Minister, 1982. She traveled widely in later years, traveling throughout Egypt, Ghana, Jamaica and the U.S. She devoted her life to helping those in need and her spiritual presence touched many lives. She was a star, a light, a beacon of hope to those that knew her and a true inspiration to her sisters. She will be sorely missed. Jeannie, widow of James Kenney; devoted mother, family member and friend is survived by her son, Jeffrey B. Kenney; three brothers, Charles, Jr., Rodney and Jack; four sisters, Cecelia Pinkney, Shirley Stills, Gwendolyn Smith, Bettie Rogers, nieces, nephews and special longtime friend, Howard Griner.
