The Harford County Development Advisory Committee will meet at 9 a.m. Wednesday in the second-floor conference room of the County Office Building, 220 S. Main St., Bel Air, to consider a number of preliminary site plans.

Among the plans to be considered is a proposal to build a Wal-Mart store on 21.3 acres on the south side of Belair Road east of Parsonage Lane in Fallston.

The preliminary plan for Fallston Commons Lot 1 was submitted Feb. 2 by Morris and Ritchie Associates Inc., Bel Air Road Associates LLC, Fallston-Bel Air LLC and Paul Goodman/ Foxhall LLC, according to Department of Planning and Zoning records.

The Development Advisory Committee is a review group composed of representatives of county, state, federal and utility agencies.

DAC meetings are intended to serve as a forum for the review of subdivision and site plans submitted to the Department of Planning and Zoning.

The DAC Committee makes recommendations to the director of planning and zoning regarding the technical requirements and legal requirements for each development.

Its meetings provide a forum for issues and comments by the public.
