Zoning appeals

County commissioners

Carroll County commissioners will meet from 10 a.m. to noon and again at 1 p.m. in Room 300 of the County Office Building, 225 N. Center St., Westminster. The agenda includes: a public hearing on the closing of part of McGregor Road at 10 a.m.; a public hearing on an amendment to the development and subdivision of land at 10:30 a.m.; a community survey and presentation on Scenic Carroll at 10:45 a.m.; consideration of the county Bureau of Housing to display its plans for public comment and proposal to increase fees at the Farm Museum at 1 p.m. 410-386-2043.

WEDNESDAY

Redistricting committee

The Carroll County Commission Redistricting Committee will hold its first meeting at 7 p.m. in the Westminster Senior Center's large meeting room at 125 Stoner Ave. The committee is charged with establishing five districts for the 2006 election when a five-member Board of County Commissioners will be elected by district. The meeting is open to the public. 410-386-2030.

New Windsor council

New Windsor Town Council will meet at 7 p.m. at the Town Office, 211 High St. 410-635-6575.

THURSDAY

Land Preservation

The Carroll County Agricultural Land Preservation Advisory Board will meet at 6:30 p.m. in Room 007 of the County Office Building, 225 N. Center St., Westminster. 410-386-2214.
