DONALD G. SICKAFOOSE, age 81, of Waynesburg, OH., passed away Sunday evening in his residence. He was born in Waynesburg, a son of the late Ralph E. and Mary Gotschal Sickafoose and had resided in Baltimore, MD 48 years returning to Wynesburg in November. Don was a 1942 graduate of Waynesburg High School and after returning from the service graduated from Ohio State University in 1951 with a degree in Dairy Technology. He retired in 1976 from Greenspring Dairy in Baltimore, after 21 years service, where he was Plant Manager. Following retirement, he worked 11 years at H.R. Nicholson Co. in Baltimore. He was a member of Havenwood Presbyterian Church in Lutherville, MD. Don served in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II. He was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Barbara Sickafoose. Survived by his wife Amelia "Millie" Sickafoose, with whom he celebrated their 56th Wedding anniversary on Sept. 4, 2004; one daughter and son-in-law Sandra and Steve Seymour of Warren, VT; two sons, Douglas Sickafoose, of Waynesburg, and Kim Sickafoose of Woodlands, TX; his sister and brother-in-law, Jean and Chuck Hatfield of Waynesburg; four grandchildren, Brett and Samantha Seymour, and Tommy and Amber Sickafoose. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday at 3 P.M. in the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia, OH with Rev. Dr. Larry Reinhart officiating. The family will receive friends one hour before the service on Saturday. Contributions in Mr. Sickafoose's memory may be made to either the American Cancer Society or Waynesburg Presbyterian Church.
